Living Life’s Octavus Steps
How simple and pure
The moment to start,
Seven intervals to reach
One’s next weigh station
Of endlessness.
With the middle C destined
To move selectively
Up the intervals to an octave high C,
Respectfully it acknowledges D
Like the child’s first move
Of exposure from the womb.
E as the third step of harmony,
Continues into childhood,
And reaching F finds its essence fitting,
As the mode of adolescent tension challenges,
Venturing often into the wistful and sad lament
Of dissonance.
Broaching bravely from the harmonic beginnings of C and E,
Grasping the 5th step, G,
Renders young adulthood complete
In a triad of harmony.
Leaping suddenly for the 6th step A,
The experience bodes well for adventure and risk,
Its transitional quintessence urging the next step.
When reaching the 7th or B,
One realizes the melody of experience
Has evolved into reflection,
For the octave of high C,
Known as the whole note of life’s summit,
Embraces this journey’s end.
Movement starts over again
In the cyclic unveiling,
Where the next octavus
Of existence
Awaits patiently
In the valley
Of geneses.
For me, during my E stage, I tried to learn how to play the piano. And in school, learn the basics of music, long forgotten. By my F stage, playing the piano accordion competed with outdoor activities and lost, although I enjoyed singing in choirs. Where I B now famous songs of my childhood and life come back to me well in melody and chorus. But when it comes to full lyrics do not remember the trees for the forest.
