Agony Challenging Forgiveness

So short is the fuse

Of disturbed cerebrate IEDs,

Wrongs whose means of igniting

Are very long,

Maybe years.

Commitment deserves to know,

For the mutual oath knows well

To embrace provocation’s truth.

Disturbances enter the trust,

Asking but for admittance,

Challenging love’s ability to right any wrong,

Knowing guilt as arbiter can ignite or extinguish

The agony challenging forgiveness.
