This world governed by desktop simplicity

How foreign

Yesterday’s plight

Where schmoozing,

Gladhanding

Acquiescing a given

Made the office world oversized.

Oh, so sublime

This miniature focus

Compared to millions

Upon millions of dollars

In infrastructure

Making up the required world

Until it didn’t

How sincere

The home office

Friendly

Amenable

And compassionate

This keyboard,

This monitor

This little mouse

Who does so much

For no pay

How compliant

The bowl of almonds

The raw seeds

The smoothy of choice

The visit to the restroom

Whenever needed

No sphincter hostility

No bladder complaining

Just…

My capsulate world

Of control

With

No

Interference

Oh…

And the making of a fine living

At home

Coupled with the peace of mind

Knowing interference from

Those with an eye-to-eye axe to grind

Will have to find their honing
