Sparkling Drift
How selective
Love’s nomadizing secret,
This crystalline passion,
Like the wandering sands of search.
What brings the sparkling drift
Of light’s particles,
Amassing about the detached isolation,
To coalesce with willing sadness reaching for
Happiness larger than itself?
Such is love’s calming
That follows the winds of chaos,
Finally accepting the current positive
Where order comforts chaos,
And tears glisten the ground
Of arrival.
For what benefits a person adrift,
Knowing not bonding’s need,
The grounding of passion’s weightlessness
Finding purchase beyond tempest discord,
The tumult of loneliness
Enjoining ethereal intimacy
Of a sparkling drift
Dancing in the dark?
I believe you have reached that point of self-love where someone else is not needed, but greatly appreciated, to end your loneliness.
