Enigmatic Place

by Odin odin@aflx.com — Read all 3,869 poems by Odin odin@aflx.com

- As many of us have realized, to” be love,” to try and foster kindness and compassion in love, is quite often a greater joy than attaching love to an object, a person, or an animal. For to constantly live within the aura and goodness of love, attachment to expectations seems unnecessary. Some refer to this state of love as an astral projection reward. (Image by pinterest)

Enigmatic Place

Where is this place
some say is all you are
all you can be
where the heart flows of blood
both yours and mine
where children and the aged seem one

Why is this place
with us always
yet elusively
unseen
unheard
untouched
pending our ready
endurance of will

How is this place
to show itself
when sadness clouds vision
joy seems unearned
glory of the now drifts out of reach

When will this place
reveal
become
be known
as nature wishes

There is a place
most long to experience
that realm where love
asks not of another
but lives only to be

An interesting perception well worth reflecting upon. Not seeking love, not finding love, not love on the outside, but love on the inside, actually being an expression of love, an admirable goal hard to achieve but well worth trying.

You seem to be writing about a state of euphoria. I have heard that some drugs trick the brain by filling it with dopamine making everything wonderful. But I believe you're writing about reaching a point where there is no hatred or displeasure, only love in one's life for life itself.

I have to think about people like the Dalai Lama who seems to be a person who has reached that level of loving even though his beloved Tibet and its people have been ransacked and nearly destroyed by Chinese greed.
