Yes you who know better,
boiling fear-mongering in your saucepan du jour,
need to step away from the overly stoked-flames of influence
and get out of the kitchen,

as those of us informed
have scanned your gluttonous recipes,
choosing raw seeds and nuts
over your refined junk-food-rhetoric called:
do as I say,

the cliché fits
“your place or mine,”
uttered behind the sanctimonious whisper
as you dress up dons of crosshairs,

while coveting a new Brand of

makes hopeful headlines,
but against deceit and false witness
by the copper-face mask of a body

I don't know, but perhaps a Law of Nature alert
needs to be “X” ified
to wish-bone hopefuls

totally implode with such
