Beyond the Bells
Tibetan bells begin
Dust motes scurry for purchase
Stuffy air finds escape
As atmosphere renews
Parting in multiple directions
Filling the 360 degrees with peace
Beyond…
Vibrations of another kind
Vie to smother the air
Supporting the concussion of toxic density
Felt
Heard
Smelled
Tasted
Seen
Consumed as millions upon millions
Of human vacuums suck in poisons
Hoping beyond hope
They will live past the explosive air
Invisible for some
A cloud of fog impenetrable for others
But for all…
People, things, politics, chaos of the mind and heart
A century’s gamble
A roll of loaded dice
The inevitable fix of the game
So tearful the anticipation
I just wrote a scenario of what our world could be like in a couple hundred years.
Fortunately, you and I will not be around to see the results of our collective folly.
