Reason For Being
Might the music of the spheres contain a timeless, gentle, haunting echo
Of Man’s often whispered question “Why am I here?”
Could it be a lingering plea void of an answer from outside of self,
A timeless, endless reverberation of unanimity in the fabric of space?
Lest we forget…
We are but a species atop a cumulate of stardust
Moored securely in a vast infinite expanse,
Each particle a story, in the universe's dance.
Our reasons for being, as varied as the sky.
With every heartbeat, a cadence of life's grand design
Emits a breath, a moment, precious and ethereal.
We are here to feel, to dream, to create and to grow,
To find our purpose in this world that we call home.
Still…
In the end, perhaps it's not about the reason for our life,
But how we conducted our living with passion and grace,
Hopefully leaving behind a trail of beauty in our wake's departure.
