Reviving Trust
When trust needs help,
Disappointment stays awake,
Restless strands of broken promises.
Respect has chosen to disappear,
In the fog of unknowns where it once stood tall,
Now a foreign mystery, barely heard.
Like a contagion…
Confidence in others wanes,
Fragile threads, fray and thin,
Struggling to hold the weight of doubt.
Yet…
In the quiet moments,
A yearning persists,
To believe,
To hold tight the risk.
For in trust,
Love finds its wings,
Turning the strands of doubt
Into the strength of belief.
Together,
They rise above the shadows of resentment
Into the luminescence of honesty,
Where unbridled passion of forgiveness
Resides in the ether of truth.
Love ya!

In my case, it only took a matter of three years. And that trust still remained partially intact when she didn't go after what little assets I had in any way vindictive or cruel. For that I am grateful she maintained part of that original trust. Especially after losing trust in who she thought I was rather than the reality of what would happen during the rest of my life that she had no control over.
