Ever-awake-consciousness.
How courageous this Yin and Yang
Teeters on its axis of stability.
What chances Love engages
As the long testing period
From infatuation to truth
Withstands all the obstacles floating about,
Save the one inevitable confrontation,
A collision course
With the sirocco-like tempest
Spiking emotion’s temperature.
About to come face to face…
Human nature’s innocence is often at fault,
Knowing not the long and arduous task
The partnership in love’s intent wish to fulfill.
Even with a determined outlier before them…
Two mortals discover their risks
Can beget everlasting love,
Aware now
It is there’s
To lose.

The longer a love lasts, it tends to become more permanent, tied by necessity resulting in more bonding through mutual practice, not always on the same plane.
At some point, it becomes permanent until one of the partners passes. How well the other survives the loss is dependent upon how well they both have built independent lives rather than totally dependent upon each other.
When both die, that love is burned out. But survivors will talk of it.
