Scorpio Friendly

There is hope, but… (Image by Odin AI)

Poem Artwork

  Scorpio Friendly

Often…

The heart displays a landscape of shadows

Where as the roses bloom with simple protection of thorns,

While a reptilian’s smile coils around the heart,

Hissing secrets of delight in the dark.

Everywhere…

Chicanery abounds.

The wild of wilderness

Carrying the wolf’s grin

As it eyes the lamb stumbling,

Giving the candle of light

Quick flickerings of a storm.

Echoing through the night

Mocking the silence of the moon

Comes the raven’s caw

Arresting the glint in the eye of a gambler

As the dice tumble against a friend.

Far away…

It is the laughter of the storm,

As it tears through the village,

Moving out to sea

Becoming the  smirk of the ocean

As it swallows the fishing boat of innocence.

Scorpio friendlies

Curl about with arched stingers of deceit

Even as the forest is consumed by the fire’s crackling

While the chess master smiles slowly

As the opponent’s king leans

And falls.

Nature too…

Oh, how subtle whispers of the wind

Know its movement can topple the house of cards,

That the sun may simper one day

And look the other way

As its rays scorch the earth

Knowing tonight

There could well be a chuckle of the frost

As it bites the skin.

Yes…

So much Scorpio friendlies abound

Giving passage to the vulture

To feast on the carcass of hope.

Listen carefully…

It is the echo of a canyon’s erosion

Slowly closing its entrances,

Repeating the cries of despair,

The grin of the clock

As it ticks away the final moments

Of 100 days of a despot’s malicious joy.

The image alone is worth a thousand words. And then from the depths of hell came the best summary of the giant cesspool surrounding our capitol. The climatic crescendo is likely to happen this year.

"While a reptilian’s smile coils around the heart, Hissing secrets of delight in the dark." Oooowww, yea, I think I have seen that smile just about daily since mid-January. Reptilian smile indeed. Spot on. The interplay of light and darkness, or lost truths and clung-to deceits, has become a daily occurrence to the extent that no one can hardly discriminate between the two. "the echo of a canyon's erosion slowly closing its entrances," Wow. Powerful stuff and again, spot on!
