The Halloween Ball

It's a night for the monsters

And all creepy things

To put on their best garb

Their jewels and their rings

The party has started

The dancing commences

There will be no one sitting

On the chairs or the benches

The wine is flowing

The buffet's filled with treats

The music is thumping

With wild, crazy beats

The banshees are screaming

Their hottest new tune

The werewolf sings backup

As he howls at the moon

Sir Vampire is donning

His brand new black tux

You can see from the label

He spent quite a few bucks

The skeleton that crawled out

From under your bed

Shows off a new top hat

That's adorning his head

All the goblins have brushed

Their teeth to a shine

They're laughing and joking

And sipping fine wine

A witch has arrived

On a brand new red broom

Casting her spells

On every one in the room

The mummy is clad

In fresh, new, white gauze

The black cats have painted

All the toes on their paws

Ghosts are dancing the Salsa

With slinky, quick steps

Swishing and swaying

Dipping to frightful depths

The wizard casts glitter

With each pass of his stick

Commanding the dancers

On which partners to pick

It's like no party ever

Tonight is the night

It's the Halloween Ball

And a monster's delight
