Very few Halloween poems are as descriptive as this of the ghoul season as the witching hour approaches. Excellent work.

The Haunting of Halloween

Broomsticked witches soaring high

Black cats moan a scary tune

As distant wolves howl at the moon

The limbo spirits taking flight

Haunting on this hallowed night

To dance with witches and with ghouls

Midst sorcerers with magic tools

Pumpkin faces flickering

Monsters clad with dragon wing

Playful bats encircled flight

This evil, vampire�s, Holy Night

All the ghoulies running wild

A mummy walks with painted child

The hope is candy, fruit and toys

For all the costumed girls and boys

Goblins lurking in the trees

A hollow howl rides on the breeze

This autumn night with hallowed past

A time when evil spells are cast

So as you wander through the streets

In search of all your Tricks or Treats

Beware the witch, the ghost, and ghouls

On this night when haunting, evil, rules
