'All at once faith set in . . . '

Poem Artwork

I thought I was wise in believing

In things that we never see - were

my prayers just wishes in disguise

And would those wishes be granted

to me this Christmas Night?

For I hoped for an answer from

The heavens above whether or not

she would be coming home to

spend this Christmas Night with

me - more this night than any other.

Was it only in my mind that I could

Somehow see and touch her; I had

to keep remembering though that our

lives were different now - but I kept

praying that she would come to stay.

All at once faith set in - I now knew

that our lives had changed for the

better; and everything would be as

it should be - she would be coming

back home this Christmas Night.

We both had the belief - I still loved

her and she still loved me; everything

that our hearts thought would be; for

in our dreams we both stayed close

even when we were far away.

In the darkest of nights, she was

always the brighest star; and once

again she'd be with me - no longer

a memory; there would be a new

beginning this Christmas Night!

Hello Robert,

This poem is Your Heart etched in words. I believe that God knows our hearts better than we do, and those prayers and wishes we cannot put into words, He knows and ANSWERS them. Your poem, this one, has reached Him and expect the answer this Christmas!
