Poem Artwork

If I were a poet, the words would express my love.
If I were an astrologer, you would see my heart among the stars above.
If I were an artist, I would paint sunshine in your handsome face;
and, if I were a builder, I would fashion for you the perfect place.

But, I am none of these, only just a mere girl:
who by accident found you, only just a priceless pearl.
Yes, just a slip of a girl who never knew her heart,
until from you she was torn apart.

If I were a ballerina, I would dance gracefully into your heart.
If I were a guide, I would show you where to start.
If I were an instructor, I would teach you of my mind;
and, if I were a writer, I would weave a tale of your love in kind.

Alas, I am none of these, only just a simple soul;
who quietly opened her eyes and touched your heart of gold.
Yes, just a sad soul who never had known love,
until she finally found you among angels above.

If I were a sprinter, for you I would win the race.
If I were a photographer, I would capture the smile lighting your face.
If I were an actress, I would perform only your plays;
and, if I were the moon, I would put stars in your days.

But, I am none of these, only just a lowly creature;
who with trepidation, memorized your every feature.
Yes, just a humble creature whom you awakened;
and, now I find my heart and soul you've taken.

If I were a singer, I would sing for you the perfect love song.
If I were God, I would make all your days joyous and long.
If I were a banker, I cheerfully would give all you need;
and, if I were smart, your silent word I dutifully would heed.

Alas, I am none of these, only just a woman in love;
one who found you flying on the wings of a snow white dove.
Yes, just a silly woman who cannot stop the mighty pen,
but knows that loving you is far from being a sin.

If I were a pirate, I would steal you away.
If I were an angel, you would be my special order of the day.
If I were a judge, I would rule always in your favor;
and, if I were a chef, I would prepare all your meals with such flavor.

Oh, but, I am none of these, only just an innocent child;
who, by chance, came to you and stayed a while.
Yes, just a happy child, gleeful of such strong feeling,
joyously riding a roller coaster, her head sensuously reeling.

If I were a weaver, for you I would spin dreams of silver and gold.
If I were a model, I would be perfect for you to hold...
If I were, if I were... Oh, if I were all these things,
you would love me and fill all my golden dreams.

Now BC, if you could just be a mermaid, you would make this crew very happy.
five hundred miles out in the north sea, its very cold, and believe it or not very wet too.
Hopefully in two days we will see land. and a hot bath.
Then I will be fit to come within a hundred yards of downwind.
No if's about it.
Big Smile,
Mor,

"If I Were" tells the feelings and desires of the inner heart. This poem does depict all intentions involving the approach to the beloved one.

An example of what true poetry can create when one releases the heart to synchronize wonders.

I thank You for posting this wonderful work "If I Were".

Healthy Happy Memorable Season.
