Desert Storm, February 1991: the "Mother of all Wars, Armageddon,"-Saddam Hussein.  The war that never has ended and never will-- until Christ returns. Rejoice!

Darkness was bound and chained
to the pits of hell,
so for awhile the light could shine:
His truth again to tell.
Alas, evil rose to call
a battle against good.
Greater Wisdom said it would;
though not with Him
would they fight:
for it was evil calling evil
to untimely blight.

Then, from four corners the winds
of war blow,
touching you and me
and some we know.
Oh! But 'tis a sign
to the world, you and me:
for it is written that
it should be.
Indeed, it takes someone's
child, husband, or wife;
creates fear, worry, and strife.

Yes in each of us it has struck
a strident cord.
Rejoice! For 'tis no more
than the angel's trumpet heralding
return of our Lord!
Philadelphia ends,
Laodicea begins.
We view Meggido.
Yea, we witness Armageddon!
Time will end.
Perfection will begin.

Bonita,
I served as an Army broadcaster during Desert Storm (I didn't get deployed, thank God), but I'm still a Desert Storm vet. I think we turned around and had another "Desert Storm" when we had Operation Iraq Freedom. This seemed to me to be a revelation type poem. One doesn't know when the end will be but we need to be ready for the Lord with our lamp lights lit. Thought provoking piece.

Hi BC,
Well I have not found any Unicorns yet, but there is plenty of time, I have four bottles of whisky not opened still. (Saving myself for the big event)
Strangely enough, I was sitting on a cliff edge looking out to sea. (It was a long way down these are the highest sea cliff’s in Europe)
And I was giving this Armageddon business some thought, every one that I have spoken to has assumed that it will come in a battle of nations, using their arsenals of nuclear weapons to blow the world apart.

I came up with a different view, that the battle fought will be one of minds and its mutations; it is after all the most powerful weapon the world has ever seen.

Now if could just find enough brain cells to find my way home, I can get to work.
Big Smile, and may your God be you.
MOR,

"The Trumpet Heralding" has a sword and the voice to deliver its message... - The Voice of Justice and the Sword of Love to cut the neck of indifference - and to warn and counsel.

Wise and profound poetical expression that fed my mind and made me learn.

HEALTHY HAPPY NEW YEAR, Poet!
