The world is like a moth attracted to the flame, unaware of its deadly heat

Oh Lord, this world is in such chaos,
rushing to the flame like a moth;
heedless of its deadly heat,
believing death at bay to keep:
under the knife for glamour and youth
and many pills to define blackened truth.

Oh, how I wish the world could see
what it cannot see;
feel what it cannot touch;
love what it cannot comprehend.
Alas, it is bent toward a belief
in tangible relief.

Oh Lord, this world is reeling to and fro,
like a drunkard refusing to grow;
it explodes with fire and quakes,
in preparation a funeral pyre it creates.
Why, even trees are confused
at Your Word profoundly refused.

Oh, how I wish the world could see
what it cannot see;
feel what it cannot touch;
love what it cannot comprehend.
Alas, it rushes headlong into despair,
hearts rending beyond repair.

Oh Lord, Armageddon they do not see
for what it really be,
any more than they recognized our Lord:
rolling their eyes as though bored
while speaking of another thousand years,
oblivious or ignoring Your tears.

Oh, how I wish the world could see
what it cannot see;
feel what it cannot touch;
love what it cannot comprehend.
Yet, You said, "Now, any hour of the day,
surely the wicked twice dead will pay."

Six thousand years You taught, warned and chastised:
yet, they believe what is seen with naked eyes.
Still, You will come with fire in Your wake
while to heaven Yours You shall take:
 leaving behind, from earth's end to end,
a t
housand years rotting: Lucifer's kin.

Oh, how I wish the world could see
what it cannot see;
feel what it cannot touch;
love what it cannot comprehend.
Still, You warned, "Earth's in Laodicea's age:
waxing worse in wickedness and rage."

Armageddon: evil calling evil against good to battle,
though God said they gather in untimely prattle.
A thousand years later, outside Jerusalem's Dung Gate
in the Valley of Decision, He renders their fate:
all wicked and filthy brought again by resurrection
for sentencing's execution of utter insurrection.

Oh Lord, how I wish, how I wish, how I pray
Your resounding Truth they see today:
hear Your trumpet heralding, "It is DONE;"
that they may feel the end about to come.
Yet, they are fearful and faint of heart;
thus, to heaven they shall not depart.

Bonita, this is the first time that I saw this. "Oh, how I wish the world could see what it could not see." Beautiful plea. It seems, Sister, that our minds are on the same thing "the end of time". Thank you for sharing this.
