I've been accused of having an eye for the ladies
a shortcut term for excessive fantasizing
or outright lecherous conduct
for the entire female gender.
Not true .
Not me.
I pick and choose my fantasies
one at a time
with care.
My most recent selection
is married and
I have never met her.
So there. But,
at 36 she is in full bloom.
In my reverie she sings
just for me--
So what's a fantasy for?
Rarely do I invite others
into my private space
of sensuous delights
and I won't now.
You will have to create
your own.
So be quiet
put on your best headsets
and float away,
if you dare...
Anybody with a beautiful voce . ah such a treat, among all artist in the world, good singers with lovely voices are the most gifted.I wonder sometimes how singers get their beautful voices and if it is a she and she is young and beautiful, she is next to only God !JK
I resemble that. I watched her in her slightly over the hill best sporting way too much red lipstick and milking the Judy Garland classic for all she was worth. I'll take Judy Garland any day.
...with a lecherous gleam of excitement in my eye
you let my "vividly" observed trepidation in mind
wander...behind the veil that separates the "much
brighter reality" from the "truly right"...and made
my curiosity disappear into your "sensuous delights"
of the "chase land"...intertwining...my sense of adventure
with a wonderful excuse for...flashed with joy
and flurry...fantasy weekend break...
Hope...the fantasy's...to be continued and guide
us...next time...and that...she never ignores
your lecherous gaze..."what's fantasy for"...
Meanwhile...we all shall treasure whatever fantasy
provides...but...as Catholics say...never covet it!
Thank you Edward, for sharing your witty poem...with
verse and rhythm that sound like music to our ears.
What would life be without dreams? Your imagination can carry you to the end of the world, to the highest mountain and color your wildest desires. "Träume sind Schäume und verfliegen im Nu".
Enjoy!

They're easy on the eyes.
And when I'm home, all alone,
I dream and fantasize.
As they say, if it wasn't for the gutter, my mind would have no place to go.
