Masterpiece is a word that is
Overused
Overworked
Overdone and
Overexposed.
It has therefore lost its
Glitter its
Keenness and its
Distinctiveness.
But what if we reserved
Its use to something
Superb that
Exudes class
And visual, emotional or tonal
Acuity and
Sharpness
A stand alone
Quality that simply
Excels
That evokes
Feelings that we
Know only when they
Occur and not until.
If we did those things
It would become a
Rarity
Not of this world
As if coming from
The hand or
The mind of God.
Listen
Feel and experience
A true Masterpiece.
I like this poem very much....one of the things we tend to do with the Almighty is trivialize Him by using cliches to describe Him. You avoided that temptation.
I know what you mean. It's like everyone (in America anyway) does a standing ovation. All. The. Time. It doesn't mean anything anymore. Loved this write.
So true...like you say .... Feel the masterstroke-The hand of the superpower working in our lives each day and when at times it become very evident for us. That makes us wonder about the mystery of life and the guiding force of almighty Jk

their fingers on an instrument to play music...some became masters in doing
so...others...not...all believing to be embarking on a...masterpiece.
Yes...no more...no less...masterpiece of individuality...expressing complexity of
emotions...aesthetics...humour...wit...appreciation of life and...it's disenchantment
...declaring great achievement and endlessly hopping for all that the "creative
effort" offers...in terms of expression...of communication...of medium/tool...working
towards...a masterpiece...that defines the...ad hoc...moment of impulse...or/and
time/period of creation...bearing in mind...all is relative...Not so...when it comes
to our Almighty God...but this is a line for another time...another contemplating
to truly satisfy my soul...
