Metaphors

I never met a metaphor
That I could live without
They ooze and scrunch and wiggle
And make me want to shout
They sparkle like a raindrop
They lift my spirit high
They’re deeper than the ocean
And good as apple pie
They give me inspiration
When my thoughts get soft and soggy
And when body parts do much the same
They pull me through the groggy
They’re fast as a speeding bullet
When I’ve really got the need
They’re slow and soft and juicy
When my urges all concede
The only time they let me down
Is when I’m lost within your eyes
And I want to stay there at least until
I win your big blue prize
I somehow never find the words
That tell you how I feel
Or why or when or where or how
That moment seems surreal
So until the words come whizzing by
That open up the door
I’ll just muddle through that part of love
And let my passions soar.

This is my favorite! You are an incredible writer! You inspire me. This one poem says more than a thousand words spoken. To write is such an amazing gift and you my friend have it.
Love love loved it!

Metaphorically speaking, that's one hell of a poem. However, I'm curious as to why the poem shifted from praising metaphor to praising her. I think she got the best of you in the middle of your reverie.

As for the photo, one can't get any closer to words than that!
