March for Our Lives

There’s so much strength in numbers
And energy flows to youth
Power abounds in causes
And justice attracts the truth.

Doubt these at your peril
Forsake them if you will
History will judge your actions
And you will foot the bill.

Judas sold his soul for silver
Midas lined his crown with gold
Disgrace your oath of office
And feel the wind blow cold.

The security of the nation
Surpasses those of states
Where once we armed slave patrols
That killed where freedom waits.

Around the world they marched today
Well-mannered they told us why
They were here to save the day
So no more friends would die.

Stop them if you think you can
But hear the words they say
They have promises to keep and
You’ll count them election day.
