A fine (and hopeful) attempt to explain the unexplainable. Yes, I do believe we all have some idea or sense of what eternity may mean. Otherwise, we would be blind to the reality of infinite possibility. Well done, Edward. This is a topic I have also "tried" to handle on a number of occasions. Like Odin, I am aiming for 100 in this life, but what happens beyond, no one knows.

What is my vision of eternity? I've not often thought about it. I have envisioned my own arrival across a human Rainbow Bridge and being greeted by every four-footed ball of love I've ever known. But what comes after? I don't know. There's plenty to think of there, and I hope plenty of time left to think on it.

You nailed it. So much to be thankful for... so much to correct... yet in the end (your last stanza) gives a hopeful summary to an infrequently penned conviction...we all have a vision of eternity. I, for one, choose to believe our individual image of eternity is all that matters... something to picture as the place, a neutral stop on this endless journey of existence that can't be destroyed... only a re-attachment of atoms. What's next? I for one am ready, but still want my 14 remaining years of determination. 86 today. 100 my goal. In marathon ideology, I've made it through the "wall." Just that final surge.
