I don't know what to do
I can't see through these eyes
She helped the child grow
to the man you see outside
I lost it all on Tuesday
now I hold our child
In her eyes I see
the better part of me
She still walks these halls
Her clothes are all still here
When I close my eyes
her scent whispers in the air
We had so many dreams
All shattered on that day
When I wake tomorrow
it won't go away
I watched it on the news
I saw the fiery crash
When the buildings fell
I tried to disbelieve
All that was lost
meant everything to me
Have you seen her face?
Please
take a look and see
I don't think
I can take this pain
Without
the better part of me
I wrote this in dedication to all those who lost loved ones. After five long years the pain and loss from that tragedy still remains in our hearts. May God finally heal us as a nation.
God Bless America!
