I have been involved in the conceptualization, design and implementation of many projects using both the S.M.A.R.T (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely) and the S.W.O.T (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis techniques. As Co-Chair of the Business Committee of the Continental African Community African Community Network from 2007- 2008, we networked with various African communities in the Washington DC Metro Area such as Trans-Africa, Ethiopian community Development Council, African Faith-based network, Jammi Africa, African Trade Office, Prince George’s County office of Economic Cooperation, Montgomery County Office Of Community Partnerships etc for information exchanged towards their various needs, problems and potentials. The team carried out Needs Assessments of various African communities in health, economy, education, employment, immigration, housing and other areas needing attention. We also organized conferences, seminars and workshops to analyze and evaluate the problems and potentials of various African communities and making referrals for services and networked with the Hispanic, Asian, Caribbean and African- American associations for collaboration and cooperation for service and opportunities.

 

            As a Quality Improvement Specialist with Dynamic Vision Healthcare Inc. in the Washington DC metro Area, I initiated and undertook the development of company organizational structure of the company, process development of various activities and documentation, feasibility studies of projects, project proposal writing and completing packages for bidding for various projects in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area and creating new services and administrative units. We did Medicaid, Medicaid-Waiver, Medicare and other insurance billing to the Health and Human Service Department of the City of Washington DC, verified and reconciled billing codes, provider identification and other billing requirements related to clients, staff and insurance companies for compliance. My duties Program Analyst with the Maryland Department of Human Resources, I Developed the Requests For proposals for the Disability Entitlement Advocacy Program for contractors, monitored Contractors for compliance to State requirements, reviewed and verified Invoices from Contractors, performing Quality Assurance Audits, and ensure that all contract deliverables are realized.

             I have volunteered with Configuration Standard Management Team and the Standards of Estimation in Project Management Team of the Project Management Institute. These were virtual groups to set standards for configuration Management in Project Management and Estimate Process in Project Management Practices respectively.
