gives him a snappy smile. He replies oka then waits. A tapered candle
flicks congenially between them while a carafe of wine sits patiently for their
patronage. She lingers on the phone, yada yada yada ...He butters the bread
and enjoys a morsel. The waitor arrives, "Are you ready to order? "he asks.
She holds up a finger "sssh " then back to ya da ya da. "I will have the beef
bourguignon and a side order of salad please. The waitor nods apologetically

of fried chicken lips" the Maitre Di supresses a giggle then places a hand on his
moustache. He walks over to the bar to get a martini and spots a vision of beauty.

over to the ivory girl and asks if he can take a seat. "I have taken the liberty to order for the two of us" she says then picks up a rose from the vase and tucks it into his button hole. "There. All dressed up and somewhere
