The chicken breast was tender the baby carrots juicy sweet and the company
well,... THAT was the real treat. He invited her to take a walk along the lake and

"I'm don't like kids" was his reply. A thousand doors shut down and a dozen
went off the hinge. "Are we erecting walls?" she asked. She was too bright and
he was falling much to fast so he said at the turn of her head "it's getting kind of
late and I got work tomorrow, shall I call you a cab?" "Don't bother" she answered
then turned around and walked away.
Should he run after her and try to explain or should he let her go? He decided to
turn west and head for home. He grabbed a beer from the fridge slipped in an old DVD then quietly sat watching the old re-run. The Bonanza boys blared their saddles on the silver screen. He sat and wondered why when it came to relationships, he always ran away then second guessed.
