Just what it is...a letter from a fan to the Big Guy.
Hey Nick!! I love your Chevy commercials!! How much is Chevrolet paying you??
Talk with them...let them let you say "Ho Ho Ho!" at least in one of them, please? *smiling*
Hey look...I don't have a lot of time to write this before I have to leave this out for you. Seems my life has been on auto-pilot since the last time we've talked; and I figure between the commercials and all of the prep stuff you've got to do for your trip in a few hours, you don't have time for a long letter as to what I want. So this year, all I want is for everyone to get along together.
We're doing this thing in Congress, you know. The one side and the other side are all jockeying for positions after the first of the New Year. Now that everyone has done a collective "Whew!" at the fact that the Mayans were just lazy and were not telling us that it's past time for repenting -- now everyone's going nuts. We have kids shooting up children in an elementary school...Chinese people are stabbing others for no real reason...and nobody knows how to talk with someone else without a threat to "blow them away." And we STILL have people tonight living without electricity. Or water.
So this year, can we just get through this please? Can we just get past each other's pettiness and stupidity and concentrate on why this season is so special to a lot of people? Do you have SOMETHING in your bag to fix this "over the cliff" thing, and fix it so we all can stop talking about it and instead talk about something really cool!?
Look...I've got an idea. For your trip next year around the earth, can you strap a cheetah to your backside? I've been watching this commercial on television this evening -- not yours, although I do like them a lot -- but this is for a cell phone company. They've asked some experts -- kids -- as to what is fast and slow. One kid suggested that he strap a cheetah -- the fastest thing on this Earth (not the fastest person...he's not as fast as a cheetah) -- on the backside of his grandma.
I think the same idea would work for you. Or instead of eight reindeer, you strap eight cheetahs to your sled. Leave Rudolph there...he'll be good "incentive" for the cheetahs to run after, making your trip so much faster!!
Dude, I really do worry about you...you know that my diabetes is driving me nuts some days. I'm so afraid I'm going to swipe a tablet and find the story that you've passed on...I surely hope not!! You do whatever it takes and listen to the Mrs. about your health, man....I want you to be around for several more decades -- even after I'm long gone to Hong Kong. Don't forget -- at least in the USA, under the new health care initiatives, preventative health care is FREE *smiling*
You know what I mean.
We need you...whether you're wearing that awesome tie (where did you buy it, by the way? I hope I get a few cool ties as a gift this year...but even without it...I would like to buy one like yours...) or the traditional red and white lined suit. I just hope you've got enough cheer for everyone around this earth in your bag this year. We really do need it!!
Well, be safe, stay outta trouble, stay away from Hosanna, and be Merry!!
