The most powerful secret of success is applying the law of attraction. This article expalins the details of application.

THE SIMPLE SECRET OF SUCCESS
By
Bill Cottringer

A sad reality today is that many people live lives of quiet desperation—getting further and further behind the few others who have figured out how to thrive beyond their wildest dreams. This sparse group of few success thrivers/success shadow-makers pose a formidable shadow of thriving success for us average folks to chase—fantastic wealth, good health and appearance, elite professional competence, creative genius, satisfying relationships, community and church philanthropy, solid character and authentic happiness. This is a gigantic legacy for the rest of us to admire and aspire towards; but the gap between them and us is getting so huge it seems impossible to close.

Fortunately success shadow-makers are not selfish with their success secrets. The greatest secret of success has been exposed to the masses via the video production, The Secret, power talk shows like The Oprah Show and Larry King Live, and now the book, The Secret, written through 29 master success heroes of past and present.

What is the simple secret of success that is the common denominator that runs through all the great success shadow-makers? Simply put: The knowledge, understanding and application of the most fundamental law of the universe being, The Law of Attraction.

This law of attraction means several things that must be understood and practiced for it to work its magic. Here are the most important aspects of this law:

• The universe if a very friendly, good place that gives you what you ask for.
• You ask for and get exactly what you want through your mental energy—thoughts and feelings; positive energy is success.
• Thoughts and feelings are powerful in creating physical realities, known for ages and scientifically proven by quantum physics; absolute belief in the truth of this reality is the door to infinite potential success.
• It is very easy and natural to “leak” out negative energy in the way of thoughts and feelings, and that is what has to be transformed to close the gap between having and not having.

Here are some other little secrets the success gurus have shared:

1. The law of attraction is a law of nature; it is as impartial and non-judgmental as gravity.
2. Thoughts are ‘magnetic’ and they have a ‘frequency.’ As you think thoughts, they are sent out to the universe and magnetically attract all like things that are on the same frequency. In this sense we are each a very large and powerful transmission tower sending energy that shows itself through the largest Big Screen Plasma Theatre System in the universe—life.
3. Your thoughts become things: What you think about and focus on most will appear as your life.
4. Feelings—good and bad—are what give thoughts their power to create realities; positive thoughts and feelings are much more powerful than negative ones.
5. Our feelings are a feedback mechanism to us to let us know whether we’re on the track or not; if we feel bad, we are having negative thoughts that need to be changed.
6. The most powerful positive feeling is love and the most powerful negative feeling is fear.
7. Nothing can come into existence until you “summon” it with persistent thoughts and strong feelings.
8. It is impossible to feel bad and at the same time have good thoughts.
9. Secret shifters such as pleasant memories, nature, laughter, physical affection, and music, can change feelings and thoughts instantly.
10. The traditional; concept of time—the mechanical, sequential concept of past, present, and future holds The Secret hostage, keeping its power from manifesting success.
11. The three essential steps of The Secret are: (a) Be clear on what you want and boldly ask for it (b) Believe your ‘wish is the Genie’s command,’ without any slight doubts whatsoever (c) Receive by having patience, feeling good and thinking good thoughts about what you are receiving.
12. Asking for what you want is your opportunity to get clear on exactly what you want; believing involves thinking, speaking and acting as though you have already received what you asked for; Receiving involves feeling good about what you already have and are getting more of.
13. The size and delivery date of your wish is not a problem for the universe.
14. An attitude of gratitude in giving thanks for what you want in advance is a powerful attraction force.
15. Positive visualizations of getting what you want produce powerfully attractive thoughts and feelings.
16. Practicing the law of attraction has to be a habitual way of being, not just a one-time event.
17. The main thing you need to do is feel good now; do what you love.
18. You cannot change anything by focusing on negative things and problems.
19. Life is meant to be abundant and there are plenty of good things to go around for everybody.
20. The Secret’s magic is only limited by negative thoughts and feelings about its truth and the results it gets.

Now let’s apply The Secret to resolve three important problems in life—first over-weightiness, then financial debt, and finally failed relationships.

HAVING THE PERFECT WEIGHT

• Change the wording of “over-weightiness” to “perfect weight.”
• Give up the falseness of the idea that food causes you to be overweight and quit trying to lose weight.
• Appreciate and feel good about you for everything you are, including your over-weightiness.
• Thoroughly and intensely enjoy every bite or drink of whatever you are eating and drinking to the maximum, without having any negative thoughts or unpleasant feelings.
• Look at pictures of yourself or others who have the perfect weight you want.
• Think about your perfect weight and enjoy feeling good about being that way, often; imagine, pretend, act as if and make believe the perfect weight is already yours.
• Hang around other people who have perfect weight and only keep signals of your perfect weight around in your environment to see.
• Tape your perfect weight on the scale to see every time you step on it.
• Look for, admire and praise people who have received their perfect weight.

HAVING WEALTH

• Change the wording of the negative wanting to be “debt-free” to the positive wanting to be “wealthy.”
• Fully appreciate what you presently have with a total attitude of gratitude, including the things that resulted in the debt and the debt itself.
• Change your bills to checks and add zeros.
• Act as if you are already wealthy and enjoy the good thoughts and feelings that such a belief brings.
• Change your focus from needing money to having it.
• Delete the mental injunctions that money is “bad” and that it causes more problems; believe that prosperity is your birthright.
• Hang around wealthy people and add signals of wealth to your environment to see and think about frequently.
• Give money to receive money with an attitude of joy and not sacrifice.
• Shift your focus from desiring outer things to being joyful, peaceful, happy, content and loving from the inside-out.

HAVING GREAT RELATIONSHIPS

1. In attracting or having a good relationship, make sure your thoughts, words, actions and surroundings don’t contradict your desires.
2. Fill yourself up with good thoughts and feelings so you have a lot to give the other person.
3. Love and respect yourself so other people will love and respect you.
4. Feel good about yourself because feeling bad about yourself will attract people who feel bad about you.
5. Focus on your assets and give them the power to attract more good things.
6. Think about the things you appreciate about the other person, not about your complaints.
7. Concentrate on feeling love in your heart for everything and everyone.

Now you know more about the magic of The Secret. The rest is up to you.
