In the book, available at Amazon.com, Sala offers commentary and questions designed to help people better reconnect with themselves.
“I noticed a lot of people are coasting through life. You need to take the time to reflect on your life,” she said. “People need to be more in tune with themselves, whether it be work, or personal. Why become a part of something that isn’t in tune with yourself?”
She said the book helps readers uncover personal thinking patterns and better understand relationships, desires, motivation and feelings.
It covers childhood memories, sexual relationships, friendships and definitions of valuable gifts. Through a series of questions, Sala aims to motivate readers to reconsider their choices and rediscover who they are and what they really want in life.
She was inspired to write the book after noticing that friends often turned to her for advice in times of crisis.
Being the mother of four adult children and having experienced disappointment and loss in her own life, Sala said her perspective can help those seeking answers to some of life's hardest questions.
“The people who have read it have come back and asked me if I wrote it about them,” Sala said. “Everyone connects with this book.”
Sala is currently working on finalizing two additional titles, Relationship Purgatory, For Two and The Gasping.
