Unidentified Flying Objects – UFO’s - Flying Saucers – Lights in the Sky - just what are they? Are they ‘manned’ by some form of intelligence? If so, who are they? Are they Aliens from outer space somewhere?

Questions – questions – questions? Will they ever be answered accurately? Who knows? Who cares? Is their existence being ‘covered up’ by a government conspiracy? Are they just a ‘glorified’ myth, a Science Fiction creation? Is it Mass Hysteria? More and more questions!

WHAT IF --- there is another possible, logical, practical explanation?

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away… people were identifying ‘omens’ and ‘prophecies’ of DOOM… they were quoting Scriptures, forebodings of “The End Times”… REVELATIONS? …Or are they just coincidences?

Those who believed in the story of Noah and the Ark, and that the world was destroyed by GOD, through the waters of the Great Flood, also believed that the next destruction would come in the form of FIRE! Would it be caused by man himself, and not GOD? ? Would it be a Nuclear Holocaust? Would some IDIOT finally press the RED BUTTON? …WORRY, WORRY! …STRESS, STRESS! …PONDER, PONDER!

Let us digress a moment, and consider this possibility. Let’s face it, the good Ole U.S. of A. has the largest nuclear arsenal on the face of the earth, and our “Best Buds” the “Bloody Brits” probably run a close second, right? Then, our other ‘former’ adversaries, but now ‘friendly’ but totally ‘screwed up’ Russian counterparts sure as hell have a humongous stockpile. There may, or may not be several other ‘Peaceful’ nations that also have ‘THE BOMB’, but there’s a couple of ‘Bad Guys’ too – North Korea, which keeps ‘rattling its rusty saber’ and Iran, which is determined to perfect its ability to create “Weapons of Mass Destruction” also.

So, obviously, all the pieces are in place, which could easily ILLUMINATE and ELIMINATE this planet, in a veritable FLASH! and, I don’t mean GORDON!
( Note: if’n you’re really old, like me, you remember his predecessor, Buck Rogers ). Way back then, they were ‘far-fetched’ also.

While there is certainly another strong possibility of another form of destruction of this “Third Rock From The Sun” by a form of fire, HEAT – again it may well be caused by man himself, via “Global Warming.” We just keep pumping out voluminous clouds from our industrial smokestacks, which when coupled with our emissions from all forms of transportation, proves that we are ‘Certified Homicidal Maniacs.’ To Hell with common sense, we want more – More – MORE! …and faster, Faster, FASTER!

Are there other signs, or omens of Judgment Day rapidly approaching? GIMME A BIG ‘HELL YEAH!’

Terrorists, and other forms of radical religious Rat-Bastards run rampant! The War in Iraq, the War in Afghanistan, the Middle East perennial conflict, wars in parts of Africa, civil wars, social wars, drug wars! Wars, wars, wars everywhere, and not a drop to THINK! To my mind, the only GOOD WAR should be the War on POVERTY – but - let’s face it, the governments and so-called ‘leaders’ could give a ‘Flying Shit’ about IT!

War, Murder, Abortion, Alcohol Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Illegal Drug Trafficking, Prostitution, Genocide, Homocide, Suicide, Corporate Corruption and Raping, Avarice, Pornography… and on, and on, and on! As Shakespeare’s Puck commented so accurately: “What Fools these Mortals be!”

Okay, okay, OK --- ENUF SAID! You got the dismal picture of what MIGHT HAPPEN! The portents are there! The facts are obvious! But, is there any HOPE? You bet your BIPPY, there is! Let us now return to our original premise, and topic --- UFO’s.

Remember the great movie, “The Terminator?” …the Hero, John? …the leader of the revolt against the machines? …the son of the woman Heroine who was impregnated by the guy who went back in time to protect her? Quite a plot, eh wot? In a sense, “Back To The Future!”

So, back to the WHAT IF factor!

WHAT IF - that land, far, far away, was not measured in distance, but rather, in TIME?

WHAT IF - the pilots and crews of all those UFO’s are not Martians, or little green men, but rather EARTHLINGS from the FUTURE?

WHAT IF – they are trying to figure out exactly what the HELL we did to SCREW UP THEIR WORLD, SO THEY CAN REVERSE OR FIX IT?

IMPROBABLE? Possibly! IMPOSSIBLE? This depends on what percentage of our feeble minds are diametrically opposed, between SCIENCE and FICTION!

SPACE – THE FINAL FRONTIER! OH – IS IT?

How long has man been experimenting and trying to invent a ‘Time Machine?” What about the great author, Jules Verne? What about BBC’s ‘DOCTOR WHO?’ Just a dopey- looking telephone booth, but it captured the imaginations of millions, for many years. Even current generations are enjoying the ‘Re-Runs!” How about “Star-Gate?” …Secret Portals controlled by the Military, that allow visits to seemingly ancient, Egyptian-like cultures, but with advanced modern weaponry! …Food for thought?

Face it, Pilgrims, it has only taken us about a rough two or three hundred years to CREATE THIS MESS! And ‘they’ have only been ‘studying’ us for about fifty years now, so there is still HOPE!

U.F.O.’s --- Yep! They DO EXIST! In fact, I personally saw them when I was a kid, about twelve or thirteen, in 1952 or 1953 – hovering south of Baltimore, on a warm summer’s eve – but – that’s another story!
