FLAG WAVING AND OTHER BUSHIT PROPAGANDA...

Anyone else out there sick and tired of hearing the BUSHIT reason for NOT withdrawing our troops from IRAQ?

The totally untrue and disgusting phrase that "to do so would mean that all the prior deaths would be in vain" --- is TOTAL BUSHIT!

They expect a rubber stamp to ALLOW EVEN MORE DEATHS, MAIMING, DISABLING, AND TBI - TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY... THOUSANDS OF OUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS ALREADY ARE HOME, HAVE IT, AND 'THEY' - THE ADMINISTRATION, VETERANS ADMINISTRATION, AND THE NOW INFAMOUS WALTER REED HOSPITAL DON'T EVEN HAVE A CLUE AS TO 'HOW TO TREAT IT!'

Please read below, that which an old soldier wrote so sincerely about, having witnessed the first use of GAS POISONING during the FIRST WORLD WAR, the one which supposedly was "THE WAR TO END ALL WARS!"

AS LONG AS THERE ARE WARMONGERS, AND OTHER PROFITEERS, LIKE "BLACKWATER" MERCENARIES, REAPING HUGE PROFITS, THERE WILL BE MORE WARS!

PBS NEWS SAID THE OTHER DAY, THAT THIS ONE FIRM HAD ABOUT 8,000 SECURITY PERSONNEL OVER THERE IN IRAQ.

QUESTION: JUST WHY WERE 'THEY' BEING PAID OUR TAX DOLLARS TO GUARD A STATE DEPARTMENT CONVOY?

IF WE HAVE 139,000 PLUS OF OUR OWN SONS AND DAUGHTERS OVER THERE IN 'HARM'S WAY' PLUS THE SO-CALLED 'SURGE ' THOUSANDS --- WHY WEREN'T OUR OWN TROOPS GUARDING SAID CONVOY?

"OUR COUNTRY, RIGHT OR WRONG" IS A TOTAL CROCK!

"Dulce et Decorum Est" is a poem written by British poet and World War I soldier Wilfred Owen in 1917, and published posthumously in 1920. ...

DID YOU NOTICE THE WORD, POSTHUMOUSLY?
AFTER HE WAS DEAD! HOW SWEET AND PROPER!

Wilfred Owen (1893-1918) ?
"Dulce et Decorum Est "

Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,
Till on the haunting flares we turned our backs
And towards our distant rest began to trudge.

Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots
But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame; all blind;
Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots
Of tired, outstripped Five-Nines that dropped behind.

Gas! GAS! Quick, boys! -- An ecstasy of fumbling,
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time;
But someone still was yelling out and stumbling
And flound'ring like a man in fire or lime . . .
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under I green sea, I saw him drowning.

In all my dreams, before my helpless sight,
He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning.
If in some smothering dreams you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil's sick of sin;

If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud
Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues, --
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory,

The old lie: Dulce et decorum est
Pro patria mori.

PLEASE RE-READ THE FINAL SENTENCE - THE OLD LIE...

IT IS SWEET AND PROPER TO DIE FOR YOUR COUNTRY... BUSHIT !!!

I was first introduced to this poem in 1962, as a Freshman in college, and the IMAGE stayed with me. WHY? Because at age 20, in 1960 I went through the TEARGAS CHAMBER at Fort Knox, Kentucky, as part of Basic Training. That was only TEAR gas, NOT POISON NERVE GAS, and yet I PERSONALLY SAW GROWN, SIX FOOT TALL, 200+ POUND MEN RUN OUT OF THE BUILDING SCREAMING, AND PLOW RIGHT INTO TREES, KNOCKING THEMSELVES OUT COLD!

The old adage, "War is HELL" is bandied about by many, but if you haven't BEEN THERE, then you don't have a clue EITHER!

GET THE HELL OUT OF IRAQ - NOW! TOMORROW!

PULL OUT ASAP... AND LET THE SECTARIAN IDIOTS GO AHEAD AND KILL ONE ANOTHER --- NOT OURS!

WHAT COULD WE DO WITH ALL THAT LABOR, AND 300+ BILLION DOLLARS, RIGHT HERE AT HOME?

"ROME IS BURNING AND 'NERO' IS STILL PLAYING WITH HIS UNTUNED FRIGGIN' FIDDLE!"

I LOVE OUR FLAG, AND OUR COUNTRY... BUT I AIN'T STUPID! WHAT ABOUT YOU?

J-PAL... Tom.

And how did I miss this one, Tom? Sad: those in power don't go to war; they send sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, instead.

Why are there Veterans on the street? Why are Veterans going hungry? Why can't they get the decent medical care they EARNED?

This needs to be shouted from every rooftop! Well done, and thank you, Sir.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

8,000 very highly paid mercenaries, while our valiant troops are woefully underpaid, and so quickly forgotten, when they return home. And guess who provides their chow over there?! A Haliburton subsidiary, making billions more on meals our troops often don't even get. Pentagon auditors have found millions already in not supplied, or cold, meals that should have been served hot, and the company just sends the Defense Department a check for a few million in 'overpayments.' What's a few mill, when ya get paid billions?

There will undoubtedly be those who will scream that America is here to "protect" those who can't protect themselves against tyranny. However, it's not working, and it won't work by ways of war. (As a product of the 60's & 70's, I've been wondering where the students are....???). It's not about the people - if Bush really cared about "people" we'd have troops in Africa. Just follow the money. I hope you will read my poem "The Policitian" (I was really pissed at George that day).

Best to you,
Diana

I think our troops should be brought home too. Fuck the koranfucks. Better they blow themselves up than us, and that is what they really want. Dumbfuck is playing with his one brain cell.

Be sure to read my blog tomorrow.

Love,
Elizabeh
