Walt Disney has done it again! In conjunction with Pixar Animation Studios, they have created an animated film for all ages, which won an OSCAR! What a Wonderful World!

Patton Oswalt is the voice of our hero, Remy, a cute little Rat who wants to be a CHEF! I immediately knew that the voice was very familiar, but a took a little while to get a visual of the actor’s face. He is the chunky guy who plays the Nerd buddy on “King of Queens.” And what an excellent job he does in both capacities!

Remy’s brother, Emile, is played by Peter Sohn, who offers some great ‘comic relief’ as an obese over-eater.

Linguini is an inept, bumbling young lad, who needs a job. Because of circumstances he starts as the Garbage Boy, but his character quickly becomes one of the main ones. Skinner, the head chef is another villain, who is his nemesis.

Peter O’Toole is the voice of Anton Ego, the food Critic, who plays one of the villains in this whimsical, zany movie. Another excellent and believable role for this accomplished British actor. Who would have ever thought - ten, twenty, thirty years ago - that this worldly known and famously austere Shakespearean Thespian would have ever been a star in a movie about RATS?

The story-line is good, the plot is unusual, the action is fast, and the interplay between the characters is believable. At the point in the film when the TRUTH is finally revealed, they started on their own - little droplets of salty water, slowly creeping from my eyes and down my cheeks. As the scene unfolded and flowed more, so did they. This tale is all about Relationships. Yes, my friends, I am a hopeless Romantic WUSS!

After you watch this movie, please be sure to watch the extra features - “Your Friend the Rat” - ‘Lifted” - as well as the Bonus Features! The creativity in these ‘shorts’ is fabulous!

Whether you are a young child, teenager, adult, or even an old codger like me - I think you’ll agree - it’s a TEN!
