Re-watched this old movie last night. Considering our country and world circumstances right now - on a scale of 1 to 10 - I’d rate it a 25! Twenty-Five!
Rush out and RENT it - watch it - pay attention to details - they say that Art mirrors Life - this movie was Warning us Way before its Time! My only surprise is that it was not CENSORED!

William Holden - Faye Dunaway - Robert Duval - Ned Beatty - and other terrific actors and actresses deliver superb performances.
If last weeks actual Public Outrage over the AIG BONUSES was not a carbon copy of this movie, then I’ll eat ANOTHER hat!
BUT - my Friends - it is 36 YEARS LATE! We have an entire generation of our children who never ever even HEARD of this movie! Make them watch it! Hell - PAY them to watch it!

Great movie. Even greater review. In all probability the younger folk will watch it "for the sex scenes." All pretty tame by today's standards. The issue here then too is, who lowered our standards? And why were the SAT tests dummed down? And why does there have to be different versions of the same movie; one for the American public and another for the rest of the world? And why do little kids need to know about gay sexual practices? And why is the media owned by large conglomerates? And why to they put addictive drugs in to kids cereals and beverages and snacks? And since when did self esteem become more important than writing and passing tests in school? Who took phonics out of our elementary schools? And for God's sake, Why Can't Johnny Read? Just needed to rant a bit and to support my favorite ranter a tad too. Hugs, J'nia
