It appears that the only decent people are those that fight and take care of War Veterans, that otherwise the Silent Majority have forgotten once the fourth of July fireworks smoke clear.

The Bail Out Vets Funds is a cry of outrage that should shame the politicos, from the President to the last intern, as there were grandiose acts of generosity to the banks in trillions while one million soldiers claims are sweep under the proverbial rug.
Maybe the soldiers have fought against the wrong enemies.

Gargantuan idea and I hope it has an impact. Yes, and bring the warriors home and pay them enough money so that they can eat steak and cake and honey and have spending money too. Prisoners in our prisons get treated better than our heroes are in this strange land of promise. J'nia

Funny you should mention PRISONERS ... some time ago, I wrote a suggestion about them.

Recalling that both America and Australia had some beginning 'roots' from Penal Colonies - why not clean out our prisons? Take all 3-TIME-OFFENDERS from every prison across America - A. we don't need them. B. we don't Want them. C. we would no longer feed, clothe, educate, medicate, and cogitate them.

Take them Directly to Military airports, put them on planes, strap on a parachute, and as they are pushed out the door - OVER IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN - hand each a knife, a .45 or 9 mm, and 1 clip - HOLLER GERONIMO - and let them SURVIVE (OR NOT) by their wits!

This would save Millions of tax dollars, far into the future, ad infinitum - save thousands of countless lives of good, wholesome American kids - and maybe even slow down the 'DOPE-TRADE' in prisons, and elsewhere.

I never had the flu until I was 17, Tom. That’s when the Army gave me a flu shot. The next day I had the flu, That was in back Oct of 1963. For next 30 years after that I got the flu every Oct like clockwork, (finally broke the streak in 93). So I guess flu shots work, I took the shot and got the flu…That’s probably why they call them flu shots.

JOHN - sounds about right to me! What with the Crooks in Congress, the Crooks in each succeeding Administration, the Crooks in the FDA and USDA, and the Government’s known ‘experimentations’ on both Servicemen and CIA agents - no small wonder at all!

I'll bet you have at least two-three GAZILLION HITS! With all the writing that you do, and it is always near perfection, how you even find time to read others and comment - I don't know!

REG - First I ever heard of the 100th Monkey CRAP! Reminds me of old adage, when I was a kid - "Monkey See - Monkey Do!"

1. If you are Not SHA'TARA - then just who is she/he? Why does she/he need a 'mouthpiece'? These questions have perplexed me, but I never asked before.

2. Back to the Monkies - another old adage springs forth, along with the 'visual' - 'See no Evil - Hear no Evil - Speak no Evil' - perhaps a worthy goal, but usually totally unattainable in the long run - WHY? Because Humans, Earthians, Humanoids, Humanids, Whatever - are, in essence, MIMICERS, or APERS!

3. Next, if Darwin is correct, then we descended from those monkies, and although much has been Learned, there's still a lot more knowledge yet to be garnered! Perhaps a few more Centuries, Eons, Millennia?

4. Then, let us not forget that Wonderful Sci-Fi Flick - "The Planet of The Apes" - what a terrific example of 'Role Reversal' !!!

5. Christ versus Saint Nicholas - Yes - Both were living, brathing human beings that truly existed. Like all other 'HEROES' - does not Time tend to Add more 'stories' and 'angles' to any Folklore? By word of mouth, passage of time, and embellishment -'Poetic License perhaps? - Myths become Legends, become embedded Traditions, et cetera - and we venerate both the Creche and the Tree ... if only Good Thoughts to Promote Good Feelings - and, even if only Temporary, in the final analysis, does not a Good 'Seed' sprout into a Good 'Deed'?

5. Finally, The PEACE offered by the Choirs of Angels was to - "MEN OF GOODWILL" - ERGO - those Not of that persuasion - the 'ILL-WILLERS' - never ever have a problem, finding Something to BITCH, MOAN, AND GROAN ABOUT! DO WE?
