Had Whipple procedure on an unseasonably cool day in July. Although surgery was extensive hospital stay was only supposed to be 5 to 7 days, now turned into 16 days. Because of biliary tube placement beginning in March not the pain lots of pain pills going on for months now.

No pecker pain, but lots of other kind in other places.

Wife wondering if pecker will ever come alive again. God damned the pusher man. Thank you Tom for sharing your pain, I'm right there with you brother.

Wow! Remind me to never come down with your issues. I have plenty of my own but with far less pain and discomfort. Guess I'll stop complaining.

Major league bummer. Still, if no spreading,well except your cheeks,then your are beat to CaCa but still fortunate overall. I've dealt with the burning pain of catheters and can relate. Don't stay on oxy too long...makes you go deaf, eh?

Thanks for the gory details� And welcome to my world, only I don't have cancer, have avoided indwelling catheters except during annual bladder flow checks, and have never smoked. (Why I don't have and probably won't get, cancer).

That slip of the scalpel is a real bummer. At least I'm glad that your bladder can heal and that the tumors were removed successfully. I didn't hear you say anything about chemo or chance of the cancer migrating, so that is good news. No pain, no gain.

I couldn't help thinking about my brother-in-law, who just retired at 70. Had his prostate removed last year from cancer and is doing well. About 10 years ago he had a blockage that took over a week to diagnose and put him through hell with pain. Finally they operated, and found a tumor the size of a fist (4 inches in diameter) blocking his intestine. They removed 8 inches of his intestine. His doctor told him that he had never seen a tumor that large that wasn't cancerous. He fully recovered from that.

Looks like everything is downhill from now on, and except for your enlarged prostate, your urinary problems, unlike mine, will be gradually reduced until you're back to normal.

On ciprofloxacin right now for another urinary tract infection, my fourth over the last year.

P.S. Forgot to mention: On Monday 5/12, Dr. D gave me some Free samples...
Lidocaine - a clear gel that's Supposed to NUMB the head opening of the Penis ...
used 2 out of 5 syringes thus far ... didn't NUMB SHIT !!!

Also 2 packages of Toviaz - Supposed to Treat Overactive Bladder ... Took ONE pill - within 1 hour had Severe Dry Mouth Reaction ... THEN READ THE POSSIBLE "SIDE EFFECTS" ... Just like all the TV Commercials ... FA-GET-ABOUT-IT !!!
The Rest went IN THE TRASH !!! I'll Keep my Symptoms !!!
