I've never had lingonberries or loganberries but most of the rest make truly excellent ice cream. And, though I've never eaten them out of hand, I've made elderberry jelly and it's very good. Also our property here has a lot of wineberries growing. They're very similar to raspberries and are worth making into jam.

Google is one of the best things about being online. I loved them and read them like novels when I was a kid but who needs encyclopedias now?

You forgot to mention dingle berries. Not particularly appetizing but noteworthy. I'm guessing it's because you don't like strawberries. cuz p

I love berries!!! Any kind...............when I go to Finland, I love to pick the Lingonberries and make a berry sauce................good on anything!

I sent you some factoids the other day. Am finding that some of them aren't true at all… Bananas comes to mind. And I've been telling my partner that her tomatoes are not fruit!

As a child, whenever I had a question, my brother and I would turn to our World Book Encyclopedia for the answer. Always curious and seeking new experience, I learned a lot through experience and school and found myself rarely going to encyclopedias during my formative years. However, while doing research term papers all the way to my doctorate, I learned to use the library try to determine the truth of things.

My early fictional writing relied heavily on my memory to get realism into my stories and novels. Lately I find myself using Google and Wikipedia all the time to make my work even more realistic. In fact, I really don't know how I did without them.

I like all berries. Our family picked them when I was a child, both wild and cultivated. When I was 15 and 16 my brother and I picked four kinds of raspberries for a consummate old German guy grower who had a plot right in town by the railroad tracks. My favorite is wild blackberries. You can get scarred up picking them and have to watch out for bears.

Elderberries were common in the pastures and woods in Wisconsin. They are very small, like blue-black grapes. I don't recall ever eating them, because, I believe they were just too small and bitter when there were blackberries, raspberries, and black caps everywhere for the picking. My cousin did make elderberry wine. He also got sick drinking too much one day with a friend.
