I posted what I did just to get a reaction ! Have no clue who she is or what she stands for !
And boy - did I get several reactions from up tight people who are filled with vitriol !
Way back in the mid 90’s I wrote a poem entitled “Let Freedom Ring” - The Price Club Journal liked it & published it.
While most people liked the sentiment presented of our country’s diversity - there was One Complaint - from an American Indian - because I failed to include the Redman !
IF ANYONE HAS A GOOD REASON TO BITCH - IT IS THE NATIVE AMERICAN !
More Millions of them were Slaughtered than any Blacks or Jews !
Do they have a Month Named in their Honor ?
Their History of deaths and slavery far surpass the number of the Holocaust !
Fair is Fair ! And …
Foul is Foul !

Thankfully, they are beginning to get their lands back, although nothing like what was promised in those treaties we constantly broke with forked tongues. And they are also gradually getting back their languages and culture, one tribe at a time. I'm not sure if the casino concession has helped them, or hurt them, culturally. Only time will tell.
Tolerance and understanding is the key to the future. More and more, largely because of business conducted internationally, American English is the language of choice. But we could all have our native languages, too. They are part of our culture.
