In school, Robin Williams was voted 'Least likely to succeed'

Where are those who voted?

When I think of all the countless success stories I have read, there is a common thread that runs throughout.

It is not 'opportunity' (believe it or not, no matter what your circumstances, opportunity exists), it is not intelligence (some of the most intelligent people have not made a success of their lives) and it is not education (highly educated people can sometimes become limited in their thinking).  What is the common thread through all these success stories that can make the average extraordinary, the mediocre great?  It is simple and it can be summed up in one word: BELIEF (or faith)

First they had a vision (or purpose)

Secondly they believed in themselves or in the vision.

Thirdly they had the determination to press on in spite of obstacles and they NEVER gave up.

This is greatly simplified but if you apply these to yourself you may see where you are failing.

Do you have a purpose or a goal?

Are you clear about where you are going?

Do you believe (really believe) you will achieve your objectives or goals?

Are you willing to take the necessary steps (even risks)?

Will you keep on going no matter the obstacles or challenges you confront?

Will you ignore the negative voices of others (or even your own self doubt) while still being open to the wisdom you may gain from other successful people?

Are you able to perservere and never give up?

If you can answer yes to most of these questions, you have what it takes to be successful.

Now go out and BE!
B - Believe
E - Engage (to act upon your belief)

I wish you all success in your chosen paths.

Creatively yours

Chanti
