You have to tell God your true disposition in order to receive healing and experience true freedom. Otherwise, you will continue to hide from God who knows all, yet bound within yourself.
A client came into the office the other day crying because she was on the verge of losing her children. They were temporary awarded to her husband because she engaged herself in a relationship with another married man, contributing very little to her kids while doing so. Blind to reality and driven by infatuation, she barely went home. Her husband became mom and dad to the kids. He helped with homework, prepared their meals, gave their baths, and at times carried them to bed after falling asleep on the sofa while waiting for her to come home. All her time was spent with the other man she was in love with. Until one day, he decided to return to his wife, leaving her broken and ashamed for what she had done.
Her first reaction to all the drama was to justify why she did what she did. But the more she tried finding grounds to be comforted, the more she was at war within herself. She continued to cover up her mistakes, rather than expose what was really happening. In time, she jumped from one scene to another in hope of convincing me she was right and deserved to have her kids. My response was, "Let's start from the beginning and just let it all hang out."
I managed to calm her down and began asking her all kinds of questions. Things came out she probably would never tell anyone. She surrendered. She began telling me where she really was, how things really were. She confided in me, opened completely up, and was able to come out her hiding place and be exposed. The more she opened up, the more I was able to help her deal with her past pains and present circumstances. She soon admitted she was experiencing healing, although I could already tell. Her countenance changed, tears dried, and she was soaking in every word that came out my mouth. In essence, her attitude completely changed.
Her situation was similar to that of Adam and Eve. God gave them total access to everything He created. However, there was one thing out of everything that was forbidden. Guess what? Out of all the things that were allowed, they desired the one thing that was forbidden. Eve rebelled, took of the forbidden fruit, and gave some also to Adam. And the moment they disobeyed, they became totally aware of what they had done. They did what most of us do when we do wrong. They heard God coming, they ran, and tried to hide from Him. God asked one question. "Adam where are you?" Adam responded by telling Him he was hiding because they were naked.
No one had to tell them they were naked. They knew it, though they both attempted to shift the blame for what they'd done. My point is, Adam revealed their disposition. They were hiding. They were hiding because they were naked.
There are a lot of naked hiding people out there. Are you one of them? Have you done something your ashamed of? If so, come from behind the bushes! Admit what you've done. Refuse to blame anyone else. Except full responsibility for what you've done. Like Adam and Eve, you may lose what you had, but you won't lose. God is giving you another chance. Begin again. Choose your destiny. Where will you go? What will you do? It's all up to you. Adam and Eve lost their life in Paradise, but they didn't lose their life. They had to work and go through some things, but God never took away their power and ability to work and go through.
Let me be the first to tell you, it's already all right! It's already worked out. Just do your part. Be honest about where you are. Are you wrong? Be wrong. It can be corrected. Were you wronged? Forgive and be free! Refuse to be the victim another day. Be the victor. Are you hurt? Find ways to heal. Pray, read your Bible, go to church, join a support group, write a book, start a club, or do whatever. Just don't give up. Are you confused about something? Seek help. Ask questions. Just make a decision. Do you want to cry? Go ahead. You're going to cry anyway. Just move forward while your crying. It will soon be over. Amen!

Forgiveness is hard for a lot of people because they cannot first forgive themselves. Many people cna't find the courage to admit their flaws and tresspasses...that is human.
Jesus said, "Such is death, man is called to life and turns away from it."
You really are a fine writer...keep at it. You're good at it.
