We did plant tne rest of our garden in honor of earth day. The enviromental service is giving two trees away to those who call. We plan apply and plant a couple of them. Thirteen different kinds are available........ M

Great challenge...my class has worked really hard, pitching in by cleaning the playground, picking up garbage, helping to feed the squirrels by hanging ears of dried corn in the trees, and we've hung bird feeders to feed the birds. We are going to plant our annual tree in May, go on a nature walk and take bread crumbs and bird seed to feed the animals along the trail. We've collected plastic and soda cans for recycling...and we actually participated in a county wide PRIDE cleanup meeting this afternoon after school at our public library. Our principal attended along with several other teachers and their students, many parents, the county judge and several other city officials. It was a wonderful meeting...our students were recognized as was our school. A great way to spread the word and get other students and parents interested! Keep sending words of encouragment!

All wonderful ideas. Would you like me to send you a coyote, or maybe a hawk. You should see hawks and eagles fly on thermals. Our home butts up to South Mountain Park, one of the largest parks and wilderness areas that is a park in the US. 24,000 acres of desert beauty. Wildlife comes down from the mountain and travels along the mountain washes. One of those in our backyard too.
