This may help rejuvenate a depressed soul

ARE YOU DEPRESSED?

it's been a long weekend despite the fact that it's just two days, and after wading through the stress of heavy traffic; which Lagos roads are well known for, I finally got home - to the comfort of my bed.

I've had my meal and a shower and was fully ready to hug the sheets, but what I thought was a tiny voice in my head had become a persistent wood pecker, transmitting it's vigour to my itchy fingers to type this post.

I don't know why, nor for whom this message is; but if you are reading this with a DEPRESSED or DEJECTED mind, then you need to go through this and get calm.

Are you DEPRESSED? Do you feel so useless about yourself? Have you thrown in the towel at the fact that you aren't good for anything, or perhaps you feel sad that you aren't making impact or progress? Then this is for you.

And if as a reader you are not the one DEPRESSED, but you have someone who is depressed on your timeline, then save the person's life by sharing this.

A lot of white people die of depression at an alarming rate, and it's tentacles is reaching towards the nation here.

A lot of things make us feel bad about ourselves such as; a failed relationship; the death of a loved one, the loss of a job, lack of noticeable progress or growth in life etc.

But I want you to know, first and foremost that DEPRESSION is the devil's way of getting you to himself. It is his tool for dragging you away from the fullness of joy in the presence of the Lord.

Dear one, I want you to know that no matter your present condition; you are valuable and always have it at the back of your mind that you are never useless and you are not stationed into this world by mistake; but for a purpose.

And that purpose has a definite time.

Learn patience from the farmers. For instance, a farmer who specialises in the cultivation of palm trees, would have to be more patient than the one who cultivated beans for a bountiful harvest.

While beans would reach maturity and can be commercialised in months, it takes years for the palm tree to reach maturity. The beans withers away fast, but the palm tree harvest goes on for almost eternity.

This tells us that greater things take a long time to materialise. So when you find yourself being snail slow towards success then you should be happy, that a greater level of success than that of your friends or colleagues which makes you sad is around the corner.

My dear, never feel USELESS about yourself just because your mates are married and you are not; or because they are graduates, and you are there struggling with your own education.

Note, that even faeces which the body regards as a waste product; is now a source of biogas, which is used in generating electricity.

So how would you, valuable than faeces be useless?

You need to realise that Jesus loves you and in His presence there is fullness of joy, but you can't be a beneficiary of that joy when you shy away from accepting HIM as your LORD and SAVIOUR.

The truth is wherever Christ dwells, there can never be room for sadness or DEPRESSION, so that's the essence of inviting HIM in.

He is at the door of your heart knocking, enough of rejecting HIM. Accept HIM and bask in the fullness of His unlimited joy.

Right now, this post is coming from a soul whose using free Facebook that can't view pictures on a 512mb RAM Android low grade phone with no data and cash to his pocket, but with a rich mind and a blessed and rejuvenated spirit.

Jesus is the secret!

Take HIM in today and forever. Let HIM fill your heart and being with Joy.

I was depressed sometime ago, so I took interest in your article. I certainly enjoyed the farmer analogy. It was perfect. It's just the feces part that disturbs me. I think that gas is more appropriate. Sometimes there is enough natural gas (from those beans?) To power a power plant. Feces always makes for good fertilizer.
