Have you meditated about being educated? What options do you have before you? How can you overpower the challenges ahead with these options? That was exactly the mind of God. He saw the challenges. He perused them for a solution and that solution came in the third to the fifth verses of the same Genesis: “And God said, let there be light. And there was light. And he saw that the light was good. And he separated the light from the darkness.
And so he called the ‘light' day and the ‘dark' night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.” Now there was darkness. And God created the solution – light.

And that was where the concept of time oozed from. Challenges block your path everyday. But the study of Genesis till that point tells us that there is ‘light' in every ‘darkness.’ There is an ‘appointment’ in every ‘disappointment.’ There is an ‘advantage’ in a ‘disadvantage,’ and there is ‘grace’ even in ‘disgrace.’
God moved around the challenges He saw on his way to the creation of the heaven and the earth, and he manifested solutions, which can be paraphrased as “He made a rebirth.” We can say he gave birth to light.

But one astonishing fact remains. He didn’t throw away the darkness. He separated it from the light. You have terrible friends? They have brought out the beast in you and the only option you think you have left is to discard them?

Everyone enjoys the tune of a piano. But note that the keys of a piano are made of white and black. When struck together, they make beautiful music. So just slot in that enemy as the black key and the friend as the white key – seems interesting isn’t it. The challenges of life only depict that it is a time for something to be born. An idea. A business. A career needs to be unleashed. God saw darkness and an earth that was void and shapeless. And he gave birth to light, filled the earth with a lot of goodies and gave the earth a shape – the sphere. A lot of families in the world today have refused growing in all ramifications because they have limited themselves to the patterns of the genealogy.

In a family, it could be that males don’t ever get educated beyond high school level. And you would hear lazy males from such ancestry saying things like “Nobody has ever crossed the high school lane, even those who are stronger than I have failed. Then how would I succeed?” the worse would even say: “I am contented with being just a school certificate holder. Afterall those who go for Masters or Ph.D. are battling unemployment out there.” Families with children like these make me weep because it would never grow beyond that ‘School Certificate’ spot until someone sees it that there is a ‘darkness,’ ‘void,’ and ‘shapelessness’ that needs to be hovered upon and a B.Sc., Master or even a Ph.D. holder would be born.
One of the aspects of life that has always intrigued me, and also everyone I believe, is the issue of relationships. I have had guys who say, ‘I can’t stick to one lady. They are cheats and I can’t afford to be heartbroken.’ It gored my heart when I heard this remark from even a married man: “How can I be having sex with just one woman for life. I need variety.

Afterall there are varieties of food that needs to be eaten.” Such men have twisted situations to suit their own selfish interests. It makes me want to wonder why such men have never had the urge to change their head because they don’t like how it looked? Or why they don’t change their eyes because they feel it’s boring to have the same pair of eyes all through their life time?
Why can’t they realise that having the urge to have extra marital affairs is an analogue to demanding for extra body parts. “……for the two shall come together and they shall become one flesh.” Has it ever occurred to you, that those who did butt, breast, and hip implants have faced dire consequences for their foolishness? Or those who are sick and tired of a dark skin get themselves burnt all in the name of bleaching, so they can be attractive to the opposite sex?

The fact is that you can always ‘hover around the darkness,’ you can always to stick to one partner till marriage and till death do you part. If the oldest couple in the world could live together for ninety – nine years, then why should a six-month relationship or marriage become so turbulent the only way out is a DIVORCE. It is time for faithful relationships and marriages to be born.
