I laughed in Spanish, as my friends would quip, at the song that was amazingly meaningless to me yet, the lyrics of the popular hit single in Nigeria, rocked every party with that title “ONE CORNER” astonishingly the song is often played in street corners too just as it’s title implies.

But just yesterday, I stumbled on the waves of the song again as I walked down home in slow, but calculated steps. And the title “ONE CORNER” struck my tympanic membrane, sending waves of new meanings to my brain. I reminisced almost everything about my life, particularly from January this year, till this moment. My mind boomed with the bittersweet fact, that there really is that “ONE CORNER” for everything. A baby is formed in “ONE CORNER” of a woman’s body called the womb. A writer has “ONE CORNER” where he or she is at his or her best, in doling out inspiring and world class content, which would in most cases be a quiet and serene place. At “ONE CORNER” called a church, Christians gather to communicate with the Almighty God. The Muslims, at the mosque. On “ONE CORNER” of the brain is the hypothalamus, which is the seat of knowledge and wisdom. Relationships are made at “ONE CORNER” which could be at a bar, beach, in the streets, and often times lead to marriage in “ONE CORNER” which is the home.

If you are a husband, and you didn’t run your home well, before 2017 ends, go to ONE CORNER, reshuffle and reinforce your plans for 2018. If you are a nagging wife, please kindly go to ONE CORNER and reform your mind, shed off useless company, and join the bandwagon of dignified wives as you cruise into the new year. I bet most people never knew that egg shells is effective in blood pressure control.
