War is About Death

There ain't a damned noble or heroic thing any more about war, unless it's in one man saving another one from dying..

There's nothing noble or valiant about killing the enemy in today's warfare. Those words are a ploy to make it easier for families to live with a kin's death. The utter horror here is that our young men and women must defend our way of life, or we'll all be on the casualty list, or a prisoner in a labor camp of the victors.

Until mankind finds a way to band together and win over war making killers, we'll go on with the script as written and approved. But it won't make it easy for the wife, the husband, the children, or the parents who loved and wanted to see their deceased and sacrificed fighter live normally.

Shouldn't we be at a time in mankind's growth for him to know without doubt, that unless strong nations force trouble makers to toe the line, new small wars breed bigger wars? Today, there are those who, for religious and cultural reasons, can start a war at any time, and too soon their ambition makes it necessary for the wealthy nations to enter the fighting and stop one more stupid and killing war.

Why aren't we ready to declare that any nation which does not work for peace, is a potential enemy, which would authorize the stronger nations to take over and hold that government in contempt until a better one was placed in power.

Yeah, I know; the United Nations is supposed to do that, but since when is that body really in agreement enough to do its job. Some kind of penalty should be in effect, without appeal, and backed by the most powerful forces possible. Until then, the world's leaders are as untruthful as are the same nation's governments which still play the heroics and recognitions of the old war games.

In an atomic age, with planes and weapons galore, how can we wait to make it clear to ambitious heads of renegade countries, that they can't do the war thing anymore; that the country they head will be invaded and controlled until better leaders are appointed? Isn't this what the results are today, no matter how, and how long we take to see trouble exchanged for peace?
