Olde Young'un


The years say that I've been around for a long time.
With a birth gift of almost total recall little is lost.
From the age of three; walking down a hill for
a bucket of fresh water from a community.
Aviator, Lindberg's flying the Atlantic in 1926.
My first day in the First Grade, already a reader.
Another sister born 9 weeks before the October 29
financial crash begetting the Great Depression.
Graduating high school, 38 seniors in a class of 38, five of whom still live through 2010 or more.
Into the US Army February, 24,1941 and into its Air Corps for a total of almost five years service.
Post-war work included 28 years managing six chambers of commerce in Florida and Georgia.
At age 52, retired and back to Atlanta to enter commercial real estate as an agent for three learning years.
With wife, Trulie, founded William Broome Associates, a new commercial and industrial real estate firm.
After 18 years, a final retirement and a move to peaceful Dahlonega in Georgia's green mountains.
After six years, she dies of Sarcoidosis, more than
twice the tine predicted by Atlanta specialists.
During the five years since, writing and publishing brings satisfaction of love with family and friends and now now, a olde young'un, as Georgia's most fortunate msn.
