Very moving; I like the juxtaposition between young and old. I am particularly taken with your second stanza: "days dimming in repeated musts" rings with much truth. When perceived "necessities" rule our hours, the days - moment by moment - grow less bright. There seems to be a strong degree of "resignation" within these words, which is why I believe your readers will sense sadness. Yet, there is also a sense of yin/yang here that is a bit comforting.
