springing summering falling wintering
the early early beginning of daylight savings time
pushes me up front to complain about the bunch
of english language jerks who decided that the
seasons no longer deserve a capital letter to make
them special and different from verbs and other
words. this is to declare that i, as an individual,
will continue to use a capital W for cold Winter,
the S to spring into Spring, a warm S for Summer,
and a colorful F for Fall. until we drop the capital
letters for days of the week and months in years,
i will use the capital letters and ask that you join
me opposing a practice making no sense. further,
i ask all language purists to protest to media folk
that it doesn't make sense. its regular usage may
well be the cause of all the crazy weather we're
having during the seasons, which are probably
mad as hell about having been demoted in status
importance and notoriety. who can blame them?

Your story makes me think of the medieval English literature that my daughters are reading for college. There weren't standards in the language as we have today, and sometimes the same word would be spelled differently several times in one paragraph. Made life interesting back then I suppose. So, when the rules were changed on us today, I didn't adapt with them. I agree with you; I still capitalize the seasons. And I enjoyed your story.
Blessings,
Sharon
very wefweshing, Bill; however, I think there are a few capital letters missing!

Nice piece of grumbling, but you need to speak louder the be heard.
Or need to be done with YOU AND ME or YOU AND I, which is which?
A smile.
