I have often reflected on how easily children day-dream about positive things. As a kid I used to think about what my life would be like when I was older, and it was always hopeful and optimistic.
At some point in our lives, however, our positive day-dreaming turns into worry...which is just a negative version of the same thing. We begin to have fear-based fantasies about the future, and our lives become painful and stressful.
Given that our thoughts create our reality, what would we prefer to dream about? Positive, hopeful things...or fearful, negative things?
