A Markov chain shows relevance in music events like Scott Joplin’s Ragtime songs as they move from even hand strength, lightheadedness, to mania to euphoria to intoxicating states of madness, and state probability. Each note is given a proper time and ties. The first not is played and held through the time of the next note.

While playing piano at the William Brother’s Saloon at the club’s social organization Scott Joplin wrote a 4 themed syncopated composition The Maple Leaf Rag. At the Maple Leaf Club he was referred to as the Entertainer. This was featured in The Sting (1972) movie. In 1907 Scott Joplin moved to his studio at 128 West 29th Street in NYC. In 1975 Scott Joplin posthumously won the Pulitzer Prize. In 1983 he was featured on a Stamp.
