­­­S.C Russell, author and resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, will be having a reading and book signing at the Writer's Way Creative Writing Club/Class at the Carnegie Community Arts Center on Saturday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Writer’s Way Creative Writing Club holds classes every second Saturday of the month at the Carnegie, and features readings and book signing by published authors.

This month will feature Russell and other guests of the club, led by Katheryn Ragle of Gibson-Ragle Publishing.

Russell enjoys writing adult contemporary fiction and children’s books. In addition to writing, she enjoys reading, biking, and cooking.

Book tours have taken Russell around the area, including Dayton, Columbus, Chicago and Cincinnati, Ohio. Her children’s book, Hand Sewn Heart, was released in February of this year. She is currently working the sequel to her novel, The Color Between Black and White.

Russell resides with her husband and two children and is continuing her book tour by stopping off in Somerset.

The Writer’s Way Creating Writing Class is $25, and includes lunch prepared by the Carnegie Chef Bg Burnette. Chef Burnette is known for his exotic dishes and continental cuisine. He uses international extra virgin olive oils, balsamic vinegars and infused sea salts and cane sugars. He also prepares his dishes with locally grown fruits and vegetables, as well as antibiotic-free chicken and meats.

Beginning authors are encouraged to become a member of Writer’s Way and learn to connect with their inner creativity in a myriad of ways.
